In the lower band of the painting, on a white background, there is a hunting dedication text:
Heil sei Jedem edlen Jäger, / Der sein Wild beschützt und liebt. / Der nicht jaget um zu morden, / Und das Waidwerk ehrlicht übt!
* Greetings to every noble hunter / who protects and loves his wildlife./ Who does not hunt to kill / and hunts honorably.*
Inside the massive oak frame is a medallion with the coat of arms of the count's family von Normann-Ehrenfels.
